Almost Perfect

"Tidus?" , said a quiet, sweet female voice.

"Yes, my love?", Tidus replied.

"I can't believe we're married now. I've waited my whole life for this, for you.", the woman said.

"I know exactly what you mean, Yuna. The day we met was the best of my life. I knew the moment I saw you, that I would be with you forever.", Tidus said to his wife.

Yuna smiled and gave Tidus a hug while they were looking out into the ocean at Besaid.

"Do you think that we should have told everyone that we got married? I mean, we just took off without saying a thing...I know Wakka and Lulu would probably be upset if they knew that we didn't tell them.", Tidus said.

"Well, I guess you're right, they would be pretty upset, but this is how we wanted to get married. We wanted it to be a secret, only one that we knew about. I don't see anything wrong with that. Do you sweetheart?", Yuna replied.

"Of course I don't see anything wrong with us getting married in secret, but I do feel a bit guilty for not telling our friends.", Tidus said as he slowly took Yuna's small hands. "I love you, Yuna, and I want us to be together forever. I never want anyone to jeopardize what we have."

"No one will ever do that, because you and I just get stronger together every single day. I'm yours forever, and no matter what I will be by your side.", Yuna assured Tidus.

Tidus put his arms around Yuna, and lightly whispered in her ear, "I'm yours forever."

Yuna felt a shiver go down her back, and she kissed him on the cheek.

"Tonight, I want to take you somewhere. Somewhere no one knows about...just you and me. Okay?", Tidus said.

Yuna smiled.

That Night...

"Baby, it's you and me tonight. Come with me.", Tidus said to Yuna. "Close your eyes, and just trust me."

Yuna grabbed his hand, as they walked to a place only they knew about, a place where they could retreat from the world. There was a cave in the Calm Lands that they found 2 years ago, while they were on Yuna's pilgrimage. One night, 2 years ago, Tidus and Yuna snuck out of their campsite while the rest of her guardians were asleep, and found their way to an abandonded cave where they just talked and laughed for hours. It was, "their spot". Somewhere that they could just be together. Now, as a married couple, they needed real time to just spend time together, and this was their one chance.

"We're here. Open your eyes, my sweet love.", Tidus sweetly said to Yuna.

Yuna gasped. She hadn't seen this place for so long.

"Oh Tidus, I can't believe we're back here.", Yuna said as tears flooded down her face.

"Don't cry, Yuna, I just wanted this to be a special night for us. For you to just be happy.", Tidus said worryingly.

"No, I am so happy. These are tears of complete happiness and joy. Being back here just reminds me of how in love we truly are. That night was one of the best of my whole life. Actually every moment with you is the best of my life.", Yuna said in a loving tone.

Tidus grabbed his girl and kissed her on the lips, as tears came down his cheek.

"I feel more in love with you than I ever have. After all that we've been through, meeting each other, losing each other, finding each other again, being right here, right now...I've never been more happy in my life. You are my life, Yuna.", Tidus told Yuna.

"Tidus, please don't ever leave me..."

Yuna's words faded as she opened her eyes to find that it was all just a dream.
